Gov. Reynolds Releases Statement Following Death Of Fmr. President Carter

Former President Jimmy Carter has died at 100 years of age. Carter served in the White House for a single term, from 1977 to 1981. Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds released a statement honoring the life and legacy of former President Jimmy Carter following his death. She says, “President Carter lived a great life marked by service to his country. Volunteering his time to build homes for those in need well into his 90s, President Carter never stopped living his faith through service. His belief in putting God’s love into action has inspired generations of Americans, and Kevin and I are praying for his family during this difficult time.” Carter, the 39th president of the United States, was widely respected for his humanitarian work, particularly through Habitat for Humanity, where he dedicated decades to helping underserved communities.
