Arlo Bueltel of Carroll

Arlo Bueltel, 87 of Carroll, died Monday, December 30, 2024 at Accura Healthcare of Carroll.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, January 3, 2025 at Holy Spirit Church – St. John Paul II Parish in Carroll.  The Celebrant will be Fr. Peter Pham.  Music will be by Kathy Halbur.  Lector for the Funeral Mass will be Phil Phillips.  Gift Bearers will be Owen Canova, Maci Canova, Brody Canova, and Ally Ecklund.  Casket Bearers will be Arlo’s family.  Private burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.

Visitation will be from 10-10:45 a.m. on Friday at the church prior to the Funeral Mass.

Arlo Francis Bueltel was born on October 31, 1937 in Templeton, Iowa, the son of Leo and Dorothy (Bierl) Bueltel.  He graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School in 1955 and then began farming which he continued throughout his entire lifetime.

On June 10, 1958, Arlo was united in marriage to Bonnie Henrich at St. Francis Catholic Church in Maple River.  Together they raised their four children: Danny, Jeannie, Steven and Michael.  Arlo had a quick wit, enjoyed his morning coffee with friends, and going to the Rec Center.

Arlo is survived by his wife Bonnie of Carroll; his children: Danny Bueltel of Carroll, Jeannie Ecklund of Arlington, Texas, Steve Bueltel of Merrium, Kansas, and Michael Bueltel (Wendy Canova) of Carroll; his grandchildren, Ally and Christopher; his great-grandchildren, Owen, Maci, and Brody; his sisters-in-law, Sherry Henrich of Carroll, and Mary Lou Janning of Carroll; as well as other extended relatives.

Arlo was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Marijane Irlbeck; and his brother, Dale Bueltel.
