A Carroll man has been charged with assault for allegedly shooting another man with a pellet gun. According to a Carroll Police Department affidavit, 48-year-old Jon-Paul Keith Stone was taken into custody on the simple misdemeanor charge following an investigation into an incident in the 200 block of N. Maple Street on Dec. 29. Authorities say Stone fired a pellet gun at the victim at approximately 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon with intent to harm. The victim was not seriously injured.
