The Ida County Sheriff’s Office has assisted the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office in the search warrants leading to the arrest of six individuals for drug and weapon trafficking. On Dec. 30, several arrests occurred, after a extended investigation discovered stolen firearms and methamphetamine at multiple residents, including in Battle Creek. According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, three individuals from Battle Creek were taken into custody, including 45-year old Gary Stallings II, 33-year-old Kandi Senski, and 29-year-old Jehse Boren. Stallings and Boren are currently being charged with trafficking stolen weapons, second-degree theft and felon in possession of a firearm, all class D felonies. Senski is being charged with trafficking stolen firearms. Boren faces an additional charged of possession of burglary tools, an aggravated misdemeanor. The other individuals, 48-year-old Efrain Ramirez of Sioux Center, 43-year-old Alberto Hernandez of Rock Valley and 23-year-old Juan Marques of Orange City are also in custody facing similar charges, including child endangerment. The Sioux Center Police Department, Tri-County Cert. Team, Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T Team, Iowa State Patrol Tactical Team, Orange City Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation also assisted in the investigations and the search warrants.
