The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education meets for its first work session in2025, reviewing the board’s governance plan and more to kick off the year. The meeting will begin at it’s scheduled time of 6:30 p.m. at Adams Elementary School. Board members will first review the budget timeline for the fiscal year (fy) 2026 budget that will take into effect July 1, 2025. Next on the agenda is the review of the governance plan, which Superintendent Dr. Casey Berlau says this is just a way for the board members to ensure topics wishing to be discussed at meetings are documented and planned for.
Following the governance plan, board members will review an update for the 2025-26 staffing plan, specifically what is needing to be adjusted at the middle school level following resignations mid-year.
Berlau believes the staffing plan could be brought finalized to the January board meeting for approval. The meeting will conclude with a discussion on bus driver pay, for the retention of qualified drivers and to review the results of the Needs Assessment that was completed last fall. The CCSD Board of Education work session is open to the public and all are welcome to attend at 6:30 p.m. at Adams Elementary School.
