In the scam letters, individuals threaten to send contacts screenshots and other evidence of websites unless a payment can be made. To make the letters seem more legitimate, scammers may use personal information such as phone numbers, addresses, and pictures of the victim’s home or business. The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office says not to respond to letters with personal information or to give any money.
