Carroll Woman Enters Plea Agreement After Stealing Prescription Medication From Patients

A Carroll woman has entered a plea agreement with prosecutors after taking prescription medication from patients while employed for a nursing service. According to Carroll Count District Court records, 41-year-old Rahni Brower has agreed to plea guilty to three counts of prohibited acts by a registrant, serious misdemeanors, for taking 12 oxycodone pills, as well as Celebrex and Prednisone from her patients while employed at Carroll Area Nursing Services. According to the plea agreement, Brower will be placed on probation for two years. A prison sentence of five years for all three counts, as well as a fine of $2,565 has been suspended. Brower is still scheduled to face a jury trial on Jan. 28, for the charges out of Greene County. There she is facing two counts prohibited acts with a controlled substance, class C felonies, and prescription drug violations, serious misdemeanors. If convicted, Brower can face a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in prison, and $27,320 in fines.
