A Paton man pleads not guilty to first-degree murder and child endangerment for the death of his two-month-old son. According to Greene County District Court records, 26-year-old Nolan Roger Wilson was taken into custody by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office back in December after an autopsy report showed that Wilson’s son’s cause of death was from head injuries caused by blunt force trauma. It was back in September when Wilson called for emergency services to a home in Paton for the infant, who was reported to have blood coming out of his mouth, not breathing, and cold to the touch. The infant was pronounced dead at the scene. During the investigation, it was reported that Wilson abused the child’s mother a few days before his son’s death. Wilson is currently facing charges of first-degree murder, a class A felony, child endangerment resulting in death, a class B felony, and domestic abuse impeding air/blood flow, a class D felony. Wilson is scheduled to appear before a jury on April 8. If convicted, Wilson faces a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole with the combined charges.
