A pickup was severely damaged by fire last (Thursday) night near the intersection of Highways 141 and 71 by Templeton. According to officials, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, and Templeton, Halbur, and Dedham Fire Departments were dispatched to the scene at approximately 5:36 p.m. on a report of a 1983 Chevrolet K20 that had caught fire on the road. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find the pickup burning and quickly extinguished the fire. No injures were reported, but damage to the truck was substantial.
