Applications are now available for the 36th annual Carroll County Agricultural Scholarship for local students pursuing an education in agriculture-related fields. The scholarships are jointly awarded by the Carroll Chamber of Commerce and the Carroll Cattlemen’s Association and are open to Carroll County residents. The initiative underscores the importance of agriculture in the county and is funded through donations from local businesses, the Carroll County Cattlemen’s Association, and proceeds from a special 1987 livestock auction. In 2024, four $1,000 scholarships were awarded to deserving students. Applications can be picked up at the Carroll Chamber of Commerce office at 407 W. 5th St. or through the county’s school counselors. The submission deadline is Friday, March 28. Application forms are also available for download below.
