A Carroll mom and her one-year-old daughter were recently featured on the front page of the Knights of Columbus Columbia magazine, promoting the positive impact of Carroll’s pregnancy resource center. In 2023, 26-year-old Karlee Jones unexpectedly found out she was pregnant, and while she did have her family to support her, she wondered how she would provide for her daughter Wrenlee. Grand Knight of Carroll Council 780 and a good family friend to Jones, Jason Schwarte, says that is when Jones sought additional help at the New Creation Pregnancy Resource Center.

Jones and Wrenlee can be found on the front cover of the January/February edition of the Columbia, with four full pages telling her story and more about the organization. Schwarte says the feature captured the positive impact that the New Creation Pregnancy Resource Center is making on local families’ lives.

Schwarte says that, too often, people try to make new initiatives political, but that is not what the resource center is about.

New Creation Pregnancy Resource Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit that operates on donations and grant funding. Those interested in helping the center can donate using the QR codes on the organization’s website. Schwarte says donations of baby items, volunteering as a mentor, and prayers to continue serving the community are also greatly appreciated.
