Carroll County Conservation is excited to announce the recent hiring of Vanessa Hinners as the team’s newest naturalist. Hinners grew up in southwest Iowa, moving to Carroll to finish high school. Her original plan was to attend Iowa State University for a pre-veterinarian degree, but her passion for nature persuaded for a different career path.
Hinners says she can’t wait to see what new opportunities will be available to her in this new role.
