Only a little over a month remains before sales of the Breda American Legion’s 2025 calendar and gun raffle come to a close. Legionnaire Bob Fasbender says this fundraiser plays a significant role in supporting the Breda post’s operations and community initiatives.
Fasbender adds calendars are also available from any Breda American Legion member, Son of the American Legion, or Legion Auxiliary. Some notable prizes in this year’s raffle include a Smith & Wesson AR-15 chambered in 6mm ARC, a Volquartsen SF-1 in 22 WMR, a 24-gun Liberty safe, and a custom-built AR-15. Like in prior years, Fasbender says the Legion is hosting a wild-game feed the night of the drawing.
Fasbender notes that they weren’t sure how the calendars and raffle would go when they were introduced nearly a decade ago, but they have sold out of calendars almost every year since. He encourages folks interested in getting in on the raffle to do so soon because he can’t guarantee they will still be available the night of the drawing. Also, the Breda American Legion is hosting its Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry tomorrow (Saturday) night at the Breda Legion Hall. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and members will serve fried Rocky Mountain oysters and pork tenderloins for a free-will donation until 9 p.m.
