Sandra Ann Burris, age 78, of Scranton, Iowa passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the First United Methodist Church in Scranton with Rev. Kevin Evers officiating. There will be a luncheon following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Sandy was born on June 27, 1946 in Creston, IA She was the daughter of Everett Baumann and Iola Fern (Spaulding).
Sandy grew up in Omaha then traveled west making Scranton her home. Sandy graduated from Tech High School in Omaha in 1964. Throughout Sandy’s life she has been a hairdresser, teacher, and a caregiver. In her spare time, she enjoyed being with her grandchildren Hailey “Hay” and Brian “Smink”, going swimming, fishing, and shopping. Sandy loved music, history, and reminiscing about the past during her daily visits with her son Brian.
Sandy is survived by her son Brian Burris and wife Erica of Scranton; granddaughter Hailey Gannon (John) of Scranton; grandson Brian Burris Jr. (Bella) of Scranton; great-grandson Calvin Gannon; three sisters: Connier Loeffler of Jefferson, Annette Winger (Michael) of Scranton and Vera Bonnette of Scranton; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Alva Bonnette and sister Vicki Nunez.
