Union Pacific (UP) is currently investigating an incident involving a semi and a train yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon in Denison. At approximately 3:45 p.m., a semi collided with a UP train at the Wescott Road crossing, adjacent to U.S Highway 30 west of Denison by the Andersons Denison Ethanol plant. UP is still investigating the cause of the accident, but does report no crew members aboard the train were injured. The Denison Fire Department, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol, among other agencies, all assisted UP at the scene.
