CCSD Board Of Education Will Review Seven Quotes And Plans For Next School Year In Upcoming Meeting

The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education meets on Monday with action items, including seven quotes, a new position, and plans for the 2025-26 school year. The meeting will open at 6:30 p.m. at Adams Elementary School, with a presentation from the Carroll High School first on the agenda. Following the presentation will be administrative and student board member reports, and approval of a field trip for the Carroll High School vocal and band program. Board members will review policy updates and a water treatment services agreement with Carroll Control Systems. Superintendent Dr. Casey Berlau says the board will then view and approve contracts for the TAP Program and with Northwestern College.

Board members will then approve $1,600 in monetary donations, non-perishable items to the Tiger Cupboard, and a $75 gift card from Wal-Mart towards the industrial tech program’s purchase of fans for electrical trainers in a home improvement course at the high school. Next on the agenda is a personnel report and discussion on student behavior and staff feedback regarding the transition of the new bus policies. Berlau says most of the action items will be approval of staffing plans, public hearings for the school calendar, and weighted grades for the upcoming school year.

To conclude the meeting, the board members will approve a new bus monitor position, an updated job description for the assistant middle school principal, and seven quotes for various district projects and purchases. Again, the CCSD’s Board of Education meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at Adam’s Elementary and is open to the public.
