The St. Anthony Regional Hospital Auxiliary has announced the installation of its 2025 officers. Serving as co-presidents for the year are Jeannie Spieler and Carol Gallegos for the first quarter; Carol Gallegos and Diane Ohrtman in the second quarter; Norma Schleisman and Virginia Sigwalt for the third quarter; and Jan Potthoff and Linda Wernimont in the year’s fourth quarter. Judy Mayer was named treasurer, while Carolyn Ehlers will serve as secretary. St. Anthony President and CEO Allen Anderson says, “The Auxiliary plays an important role at St. Anthony, making a meaningful impact on everyone who visits or works in our hospital and nursing home—from patients and residents to staff. Through their dedication, Auxiliary members manage the Coffee and Gift Shop, assist at the visitor reception desk, and support Mass in the nursing home, creating positive connections with patients and their families.” He adds that auxiliary members also knit blankets for newborns and create prayer shawls for patients. Outside of their volunteer work, the auxiliary also financially supports St. Anthony’s healthcare scholarships, capital improvement projects, and more. The St. Anthony Auxiliary now has over 300 members, but additional volunteers are always welcome. For more information, contact membership chair Kathie Luchtel at 712-830-9632.
