Warm weather has led to the postponement of the Black Hawk Men’s Club 2025 Arctic Open. The unique event, which has teams of golfers taking to the ice for an unusual round of golf, was initially scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday), but the consecutive days of 50+ degree temperatures have water beginning to pool on the top layer of ice. Organizers note that the ice thickness is sufficient, but the conditions just aren’t conducive to good winter golf. The 35th annual Arctic Open has been postponed to next weekend, Saturday, Feb. 8, to give the standing water time to refreeze.
