The Carroll County Board of Supervisors has a lengthy agenda for their meeting on Monday, but the primary focus will likely be two resolutions to rescind existing zoning agreements with the cities of Glidden and Carroll. The supervisors convene at 9 a.m. at the Carroll County Courthouse and will begin their meeting with a funding request from the Manning Hausbarn Heritage Park and acknowledge a letter from the City of Carroll regarding the zoning agreements prior to the zoning control questions. The issue was brought to the supervisors’ attention nearly two years ago when residents in the two-mile area surrounding Carroll questioned the city council’s control of inspections, building permit fees, and zoning permit approvals. Earlier this month, the Carroll County Planning and Zoning Commission returned a recommendation to the supervisors that the county end existing 28E zoning agreements. The supervisors could vote Monday on the issue or table the resolutions to a future meeting. Other items on Monday’s agenda include a quarterly report from the Carroll County Recorder’s Office, Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 budget reviews with over a half-dozen county departments, and insurance renewals. Monday’s meeting is open to the public and will also be live-streamed via the county’s YouTube channel. Links to the agenda and video are included below.
