The Lake View City Council has accepted the resignation of the current City Administrator, Theresa Pudenz, and will now begin the process of hiring a new candidate for the position. Pudenz started working for Lake View in the summer of 2023, right when RAGBRI passed through on their way to Carroll from Storm Lake. Lake View Mayor John Westergaard says that from day one, she jumped in and started the undertaking of a very large project for the community.
Pudenz has accepted a position with the City of Cherokee and will transition into that role following her departure from Lake View on March 21. Westergaard says city officials are thankful that Pudenz is staying to help the city through one of its busiest times.
Westergaard says that while the position needs to be filled, the city council is still exploring options for finding a qualified candidate.
After a decision is made at the city council meeting on Monday, Lake View officials will begin the search for the next city administrator for the community. Westergaard wants to thank Pudenz for all the work she has put in and wish her luck in the next chapter of her career.
