Robert Louis (Bob) Wiskus, 82, of Manning, passed away February 4, 2025 at Thomas Rest Haven in Coon Rapids.
A Funeral Mass will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manning. The Celebrant will be Fr. Michael Cronin. Concelebrant will be Fr. Andrew Hoffmann. Music will be by Anne Muhlbauer and the Sacred Heart Choir. Lectors for the Funeral Mass will be Don Hoffmann and Wanda Neuman. Gift Bearers and Honorary Casket Bearers will be Bob’ grandchildren: Kari Musser, Mark Wiskus, Quinten Musser, Westin Musser, Presley Musser, Zoe Marie Musser, Brandon Brincks, and Owen Wiskus. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Dedham with military honors conducted by the Dedham American Legion.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 12:30-1:45 p.m. prior to the Funeral Mass at the church. Memorial may be left at the church for a later designation.

Bob, the son of Joe B. Wiskus and Theresa (Bauer) Wiskus, was born on December 9, 1942, on the family farm north Dedham, Iowa. He grew up on the farm and attended school in Dedham.
Bob served in the Army for a short time in 1964 before being honorably discharged.
On October 28, 1967, Bob was united in marriage with Gay Lynne Balukoff at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dedham, Iowa. From this union were born three children Tina, Terri, and Steve. The couple lived in Dedham, Templeton and Manning.
Bob held various jobs over the years. He enjoyed farming and raising cattle. Bob is best remembered, as “The Pizza Man” from his time working at Casey’s in Manning. Bob enjoyed coffee with friends and spending time with his kids and grandchildren. Bob always had a warm smile and a kind word. He never met a stranger.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Joe B and Theresa Wiskus and his siblings Marvin, Eugene, Arvella, Jerome, LaVerne, Theresa, and Arnold and his in-laws John and Delores Balukoff, and a brother in-law Jan Balukoff.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Gay Lynne and his children Tina (Clark) Musser of Thornton, Colorado; Terri (Bryce) Brincks of Glidden and Steve (Marie) Wiskus of Manilla; eight grandchildren Kari, Mark, Quinten (Micheala), Westin, Presley, Zoe Marie, Branden, and Owen. He is also survived by his siblings Arlene Brincks of Carroll; JoAnn (Roman) Halbur of Garden City, Kansas; Kate Miller of Dedham; Kenny (Deb) Wiskus of Coon Rapids; sister- in-law Beverly Balukoff of Hearld, California, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
