Charges are being filed against a Manning man for allegedly damaging the fishing dock at Great Western Park in Manning. According to Carroll County District Court records, 18-year-old Jordan Russel Smith-Sybesma and a juvenile allegedly vandalized the dock on Dec. 15, by flipping it over and eventually pushing it out onto the ice, causing it to fall through and sink into the pond. Smith-Sybesma has been ordered to appear on Feb. 20 at the Carroll County Courthouse. He faces charges of third-degree criminal mischief, an aggravated misdemeanor. If convicted, Smith-Sybesma can face up to two years in prison and up to $8,540 in fines.
