Two auctioneers were honored at the 2025 Carroll Chamber of Commerce’s Banquet with the Good Neighbor Award, for their assistance to numerous fundraising and other auction events through the Carroll area. Steve Seidl and Chris Ludwig have been partnered for decades, providing auction services for real estate, estates, machinery and much more. Presenter of the award, Noah Dryden with JEO Consulting Group, Inc. jokingly tried to “auction” off the award to introduce the duo, but said these two nominations were an easy choice for the winners.

Seidl, in attendance just two days after having knee surgery, says he is grateful to be chosen for the award, and wanted to extend his thanks to his wife, Sue and his business partner Ludwig and his wife Christy, and many others.

Ludwig shared much of the same sentiments as Seidl saying he is very appreciative of being recognized with such an honor, even though he was unable to attend the banquet in person.
