Kind, hardworking, and loyal, Brian Michael Weber, known by all as Butch, AKA Beak, age 56, of Glidden, IA, passed away at his home on February 12, 2025.
A viewing (10:00-12:00) and celebration of life (immediately following) will be held at the Lincoln Club in Glidden, IA on Saturday, February 22, 2025. Everyone who knew Butch knows he would like this to be a fun, casual event. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Butch was born on December 25,1968 in Audubon, IA. He was the son of Richard and Stella (Hofbauer) Weber. He was raised in Glidden and graduated from high school in 1987. As a young boy, we could find Butch and his brother Tom racing through the streets of Glidden on their Cub Cadet lawn tractor with the wagon in tow ready to do those things that defined his life, helping people. During his young days, Butch continued to build his work ethic legacy, but not without a few bumps in the road. Some will remember the days of jumping over the fence to take a dip, countless road trips with the boys, card games that lasted until the sun came up, and nights we couldn’t remember with the friends that will never be forgotten.
Following high school and continuing his school of hard knocks, Butch stuck to his Glidden roots exploring a few different career paths, each one with his work hard attitude. He committed himself to do his best every day.
In 1994, Butch met his wife, Tara Gibson, the love of his life, his soul mate and best friend. They were married on January 20th, 2011. He just wanted to make sure she was the one. Butch and Tara went on to raise Tara’s two daughters, Jordan and Taylor. Butch and Tara enjoyed garage gatherings with friends, beach vacations and road tripping. They always loved finding new adventures, meeting new friends and spending time with the grandkids, Kalli and Ryder. Butch had a love for scratch tickets and playing the same Powerball numbers for the last 35 years, we suggest nobody play those numbers.
Anywhere, anytime, for anyone, Butch was the most caring, giving person anyone could know and was loved by all. He was always available to lend a hand, help with a project, or jump in the car for a road trip.
Butch is survived by his wife Tara of Glidden; Tara’s children Jordan and Taylor; their grandchildren: Kalli and Ryder; his parents Stella and Richard Weber of Glidden, a brother Tom Weber (Dodi) of Glidden; two sisters: Brenda Wittrock (Denis) of Glidden and Teresa Heue (Dave) of Lytton; his mother-in-law Judy Gibson (Ron Riesberg) a brother-in-law Troy Gibson (Teresa) of Scranton; and other extended family members and many good friends.
Butch was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father-in-law Denis Gibson; and several aunts and uncles.
