The Carroll Chamber of Commerce is getting ready to welcome 1,500 basketball players and fans to the area this weekend with the 18th annual Court Classic Tournament. This year, 82 teams, consisting of third through ninth grade boys and fourth through sixth plus eighth grade girls will play at various gyms located in Carroll, working for their chance to win the champion title. Program Director Ashley Schable says there are 13 more teams joining this year’s tournament, with over 100 games scheduled throughout the weekend at all school building gyms and at the Carroll Rec Center.
Schable says the influx of visitors is a great economic booster for the local community, which was the driving factor behind the creation of the event almost two decades ago.
Schable would like to thank all the sponsors, the local schools for the use of the gym and for all the volunteers who continuously step up to make this tournament a success.

The Chamber invites the public to join to watch any or all of the games for a $10 wristband that will be accepted at all gyms, all weekend.
