SMCH Honors Mackenzie Monahan With Q1 Exceptional Experience Award

Stewart Memorial Community Hospital (SMCH) in Lake City has named Mackenzie Monahan as the recipient of its Q1 Exceptional Experience Award, recognizing her for outstanding patient care and dedication to service. Monahan was nominated by a grateful patient who praised her kindness and professionalism during a challenging hospital stay. The patient wrote in their nomination, “Over the past two nights, I’ve faced a very challenging and embarrassing situation with incontinence. Mackenzie was so kind. Despite the discomfort of the situation, Mackenzie never blinked an eye and treated me with the utmost respect and dignity, helping me maintain my sense of dignity through it all. She has been a saving grace.” Hospital CEO Linn Block says Monahan’s commitment to care is what they strive for every day at SMCH, saying, “Mackenzie is a true embodiment of the compassionate care we strive to provide at Stewart Memorial. Her kindness and commitment to her patients demonstrate the exceptional standards of service that make our hospital a place where patients feel valued and cared for.” The Exceptional Experience Award recognizes hospital staff who go above and beyond in patient care.
