The Greene County Opioid Settlement Allocation Committee invites organizations in the area that provide services in Greene County to apply for Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 funding. Eligible applicants include schools, hospitals, substance abuse prevention providers, and other similar entities. Nearly $175,000 of the $275,000 allocated to Greene County through the nationwide opioid settlement with pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors is still available for use within Greene County. Additional weight will be given to applications that prioritize the prevention and abatement of opioid abuse and treatment for individuals with opioid addictions. Applications are due by March 15 and must include the requested amount, a brief summary of the project, the targeted population, the number of people expected to be served, and a timeline for project completion.
