This Saturday, the Germans are going Irish with the 8th Annual Rib and Soup Cook Off at Manning Hausbarn-Heritage Park. For a price of $10 in advance, or $15 at the door, a ticket will get individuals four samples of various ribs prepared by local and surrounding area chefs, all the soup you can eat, with games and entertainment to last the evening. The event is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Konferenz Centre. Tickets can be purchased in advance from any Hausbarn event committee or board of directors’ member, at First National Bank or Templeton Savings Bank in Manning or by calling the Hausbarn at 712-655-3131. Test your luck for a chance at the many live and silent auction items, including the popular dessert auction with over two dozen delicious treats to bid on.
