Serious Damage Reported After Truck Crashes Into Denison Home Early Sunday Morning

Serious damage but no significant injuries were reported after a pickup truck collided with a home in Denison over the weekend. According to officials, the Denison Police Department and Denison Fire Department were dispatched to the 30 block of S. 24th Street at approximately 1:41 a.m. on Sunday after being notified of the crash. Initial reports show a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500, operated by 19-year-old Julio Fernando Jeronimo-Perez of Denison, was traveling southbound on the roadway when Jeronimo-Perez lost control and veered across the northbound lane and into the adjacent property’s lawn, becoming airborne before colliding with the northwest corner of the home, owned by Linda Lucille Sauvago of Denison. The Dodge was totaled in the crash, and damage to the house was estimated at $25,000. Jeronimo-Perez was transported to Crawford County Memorial Hospital by Crawford County Emergency Medical Services for treatment of suspected minor injuries. Jeronimo-Perez was cited for reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
