The Greene County Iowa GOP invites the public to a speaking event later this week on child trafficking and border security featuring J.J. Carrell, a retired deputy border patrol agent, author, and documentary filmmaker, as well as Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams at the Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson on Thursday, March 13. The event begins at 5:30 p.m., and tickets can be purchased for $30 by calling 515-370-2024. Carrell retired from the San Diego sector in 2020 after a 24-year career and gave testimony last November before the House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security. In his testimony, entitled “Trafficked, Exploited, and Missing: Migrant Children Victims of the Biden-Harris Administration,” Carrell said, “The United States Federal government is the world’s largest child sex trafficking organization in modern history.” Carrell is expected to delve further into his research during Thursday’s presentation. Again, the program begins at 5:30 p.m. at Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson. Tickets are available by calling 515-370-2024.
