IRFA Offers Ethanol Prize Packages For Iowa High Schools’ Proms

The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA) is offering prizes to support Iowa high school after-prom events through its Drive Clean campaign, which promotes safe driving and clean fuel choices among young drivers. IRFA Marketing Director Lisa Coffelt says, “We want to build confidence in young drivers on choosing what fuel to use at the pump, while also encouraging them to drive safe on Prom night. Choosing Unleaded 88 helps drivers save money, betters the environment, and supports our local farmers. Being able to support high schools across Iowa in providing a safe, yet fun After-Prom event while empowering students to make a cleaner fuel choice is a win for everyone.” The Drive Clean gift package includes a $25 gas card, a Drive Clean t-shirt, a lanyard, stickers, and an air freshener. Schools interested in receiving a package can contact Coffelt at LCoffelt@IowaRFA.org. The association’s Drive Clean campaign educates drivers between 14 and 18 years old on the benefits of Unleaded 88, more commonly known as E15, an ethanol fuel blend compatible with vehicles 2001 and newer.
