Two Sac County residents, along with a Story City man, are facing federal drug charges for allegedly intending to deliver hundreds of grams of methamphetamines, which contained traces of fentanyl, around Sac County between January 2024 and April 2024. According to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Iowa, Ryan Edward Miller of Odebolt, Danielle Cherice Morris of Odebolt, and William Ross Clark Jr of Story City are being charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance for intentionally planning to distribute over 500 grams of methamphetamine, a schedule II substance and 400 grams of a substance containing a detectable amount of fentanyl. Miller and Morris are facing additional charges of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Miller was previously convicted of felony drug offenses in 2017 out of Boone County. Miller and Clark Jr both plead not guilty and face a grand jury on May 12. Morris has pleaded guilty to count one conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance. Morris will face a minimum sentence of ten years in prison, along with Clark Jr, if he is found guilty. Miller faces a minimum of 20 years in prison, a maximum sentence of 30 years, and fines.
