A Paton man is currently in custody on multiple charges after allegedly stabbing a relative, lighting the victim’s house on fire, and eluding from law enforcement. According to Greene County District Court Records, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office received a report on March 11 around 2:15 p.m. on an individual who was allegedly stabbed in the back with a pair of scissors by 28-year-old Devin Christopher Hackfort in the 300 block of State Street in Paton. Hackfort traveled back into Paton, reaching speeds of 70 mph in a 25-mph zone. His vehicle was stopped with the assistance of law enforcement, and while being detained, he spit in a deputy’s face and threatened to kill the deputy transporting him.
