Lake View City Council Approves On Permit To Build Caseys Store Along Hwy 175

The Lake View City Council has approved a permit for the major convenience store company Casey’s to build a new gas station in the city. The new store will potentially be located to the north of Hwy 175 on the eastern edge of town, over by Dollar General. SBB Engineering Architect Jeff Lauback (Law-beck) presented the scope of the project to the council on Monday, saying it was designed to accommodate the residents and visitors to Lake View.

During a Planning and Zoning meeting to discuss the project, Lauback said the proposed lot where the store would be built is in a flood plain and requires additional drainage. Lauback says the current plans for the building include larger-diameter pipelines.

The city council unanimously approved the permit and is now waiting for the land transfer to be finalized to officially begin construction.
