The Animal Rescue of Carroll is now accepting donations for the annual Garage Sale fundraiser happening on April 4 and 5. This is the largest fundraising event for the rescue and all proceeds will go cover expenses to provide care to the animals and operational expenses. All week, the shelter is accepting donations of household items, such as home décor, small appliances and children and baby toys. Items not being accepted include clothing, shoes or anything that is broken or heavily soiled. There is limited space for donations, so any large items need to be coordinated with shelter volunteers by calling 712-790-9116. Items can be dropped off at the rescue during opening hours, Monday and Wednesday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
