A former Carroll County Ambulance Service employee faces charges in Carroll County District Court for allegedly stealing controlled substances while on duty. According to court records, 53-year-old Teresa Marie Johnson of Manilla is charged with prohibited acts by a registrant, a serious misdemeanor. A Carroll Police Department affidavit claims Johnson unlawfully obtained fentanyl while working as a critical care paramedic between Oct. 1, 2024 and Feb. 19, 2025, and authorities delivered her a summons to appear in court Friday on the charge. That appearance is set for April 10 at the Carroll County Courthouse. If convicted, Johnson faces up to one year in jail and no more than $2,560 in fines.
