The deadline for Carroll County students to apply for the annual Ag Scholarship is quickly approaching. Applications must be submitted to the Carroll Chamber of Commerce office by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 28. The scholarship is open to all Carroll County residents pursuing post-secondary education in an agriculture-related field. It underscores the vital role agriculture plays in the community and aims to support the next generation of leaders in the industry. The scholarship is a joint effort between the Carroll Chamber of Commerce and the Carroll County Cattleman’s Association. Funding comes from donations by local businesses, the Cattleman’s Association, and proceeds from a special 1987 livestock auction. Interested applicants can stop by the Chamber office to pick up an application or request one via email at a.schable@carrolliowa.com.
