Vicki Wamback of Carroll

Vicki Wamback, 79 of Carroll, died Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Accura Healthcare of Carroll.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2025 at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. Officiating will be Fr. Craig Collison.   Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be left at the funeral home for a later designation.

Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for the family at www.sharpfuneral.com.

Vicki was born on September 23, 1945 in Gassville, Arkansas, the daughter of Joseph A. Rohner II and Wenonah G. Herron.  Vicki was a fourth generation Carroll resident and a 1963 graduate of Kuemper Catholic High School where she excelled in violin, piano, voice and showcased her strong writing skills as co-editor of the Kuemper Lance.  She pursued a nearly 40-year career at Midland Financial Services in upper management specializing in commercial property appraisal and management in the Chicago and Kansas City areas, then retiring to Carroll.

Vicki dearly loved all of her many puppies, including Peppy, Farkus, and her last two, Missie and Trickie.

Vicki is survived by her loving siblings: Joe (Merri) of Grangeville, ID, Becky (Ehab) of Omaha, NE, Ed of Breda, Gary (Geri) of Lincoln, NE, David (Linda) of Phoenix, AZ, Jim of Phoenix, Pam of Cedar Rapids, Pat and Companion Holli McGee of Coralville, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister-in-law, Roxie.

From Sister Becky: She was always first; the top dog of our puppy-pile. Thank you for showing us the way. Art-f-f-f-f-f-f. May the gracious and merciful Lord let her join his choir of Angels.

Sister Pam: Vicki was a wonderful sister. She was always there when in needed something.  My daughter Marie wanted to express what a loving, caring, thoughtful aunt Vicki was to her. Sending love and prayers to all of Vicki’s brothers and sisters.

Sister Pat and Holli: I will always remember Vicki’s wonderful smile.  She was one of my best friends. She supported me in good times and bad.
