Several South Central Calhoun students brought home winning awards from the 2025 Twin Lakes Conference Art Show. Seven artists submitted pieces from drawings, paintings, ceramics and more, being judged on a variety of components like technical skill, creativity, composition, and presentation. Stanley Maulsby-Anderson won the Creative Excellence Award for chromatic drawing “Living Dead”. Other winners include: third place for Channing Worthen on a chromatic drawing “Lazy Lizzie Otter Cat”, first place Hayle Hughes with non-acrylic painting “Jeans in the Blue”, first and second place in sculpture for Morgan McChesney “The Little Things” and Kaitlyn O’Neill with “Ocean View” respectively. South Central Calhoun students took home all winning awards for ceramics, with Maulsby-Anderson placing first for “MC Tea”, McChesney with “Patched Together” and Hughes with “E-Cargo the Magnificent”.
