The City of Coon Rapids is asking for residents’ input to assist officials, along with Region XII Council of Governments to create a new Comprehensive Plan to guide growth and development to the community. The last comprehensive plan was developed almost ten years ago, and an updated one will put new perspective on key areas to shape the future of Coon Rapids for the next five years. Areas of focus will include housing, daycare, infrastructure, economic development and quality-of-life improvements. The survey will ask for input of what should be prioritized, such as expanding housing options, supporting business groups and more. The deadline to have the survey submitted is on Friday, April 18 at noon. The survey can be found online at coonrapidsiowa.com/opinion, or by scanning the Q.R code included above. Physical copies can be requested by calling 712-999-4769 to have one mailed, or visiting the Coon Rapids Public Library. Those that complete the survey and fill in contact info will be in the running to win one of four $50 Coon Bucks gift certificates.
