Michael Warren Holm, 75, of Yetter, IA, passed away on March 29, 2025, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa, surrounded by his loved ones.
Mike was born on May 17, 1949, to parents Warren and Evelene Holm, in Carroll, IA. He grew up on his family farm located just outside of Yetter where he attended country school, later graduating from Lake City High.
Growing up, Mike helped out around the family farm. Shortly after graduation, he married Diane Grove and the two of them started a family. He worked hard to provide for his family, working at the Creamery in Lytton, IA, and eventually switching to GE in Carroll, IA, ending his career in road construction in 2015. Mike and Diane separated but remained friends. They were blessed with four children: Matt, Chad, Aleisha, and Ryan. In 2017, Mike was blessed with a special friend, Corazon Salva, who he spent the rest of his life with.
Mike enjoyed spending time with his family, involving them in fishing, hunting, and taking family trips to different parts of the country. He also loved attending the grandkids’ ball games and often traveled a great distance just to watch them play. He was the life of the party, the center of attention, and loved being around people. He could strike up a conversation with anyone, and truly didn’t know a stranger. Mike was a strong man who fought a courageous battle until the very end. He had a larger-than-life personality and will be missed by many.
Those left to cherish his memory include his special friend: Corazon Salva; his children: Matt Holm of Storm Lake, IA, Chad (Karen) Holm of Earlham, IA, Aleisha Bradley of Madrid, IA, and Ryan Holm of Walnut, IA; grandchildren: TJ Bradley, Bryce Holm, Justin Holm, Shawna Bradley Mason Bradley, Levi Holm, Savannah Bradley, and Kalena Holm; great-grandchildren: Avery Bradley, Luna, Aureilya and Nolan Gillen; siblings: Tony Holm of Yetter, IA, Mary Copp of Elkhorn, IA, Annette (Mark) Lange of Rockwell City, IA, Elaine (Jeff) Aden of Carroll, IA and Rick Holm of Wyoming.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Evelene Holm, and his nephew, Leslie Holm.
