Coon Rapids Municipal Utilities (CRMU) is donating over 100 trees to customers as a way to give back and further promote the well being of the environment. One tree will be given to each customer and three options are available: Autumn Blaze Maple, Armstrong Maple and Red Oak. Trees are available on a first come, first serve basis, and must be planted at a utility service address. Those interested can all 712-999-2225 to reserve a tree. CRMU employees will deliver the tree when they come in, and property owners will be responsible for planting and caring for them. Desired planting locations must be marked and contact One Call (811) before digging to locate potential underground utilities. ISOM Tree Farm out of Guthrie Center is offering to plant the trees for customers for a $100 fee by cash, check or Venmo.
