A Dow City man is facing five third degree sexual abuse charges after allegedly forcing an employee to engage or perform sexual acts with him. According to Crawford County District Court records, 39-year-old Timothy Craig Mitchell allegedly forced a female employee to perform various sex acts with him between November 2022 and January 2023 after work. The victim allegedly told Mitchell “no”, and he continued by throwing her on the bar, forcing her into the back room, or holding her down onto his lap. Mitchell has plead not guilty to five third-degree sexual abuse charges, all class C felonies. A jury trial has been scheduled for May 13 at the Crawford County Courthouse. If convicted, Mitchell can face a maximum sentence of up to 50 years in prison and over $68,000 in fines.
