Carroll County Supervisors To Reconsider FY26 Paramedic Union Agreement At Monday’s Meeting

The Carroll County Board of Supervisors will reconsider approval of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 union agreement with the Carroll County Paramedics Association at their meeting coming up on Monday. The supervisors convene at 9 a.m. at the Carroll County Courthouse and will review the proposed agreement after concluding routine business, such as retail alcohol licenses and plat approvals. A motion during the March 31 meeting to approve the contract, which increases on-call pay and tier-based compensation, died due to a lack of a second. The estimated pay increase equates to around five percent compared to the FY25 figures.  The supervisors will also hear from the Highway 30 Coalition and its contracted firm, Snyder & Associates out of Ankeny, on the organization’s effort to four-lane Highway 30 across the entire state. The remainder of Monday’s agenda includes reports from County Engineer Zac Andersen on secondary roads equipment quotes, manure management annual updates, and committee reports. The April 7 meeting is open to the public and will be live-streamed via the county’s YouTube channel. Links to the video and agenda are included below.
