Glidden Public Works Director, Bob Bock, Retiring After Over 30 Years Of Service

The City of Glidden Public Works Director, Bob Bock, is retiring at the end of this month after an over three-decade career with the city. City Administrator Brooke Peterson says city officials and community members were grateful to have Bock dedicate much of his life to Glidden and wish him the best in the next chapter.

Peterson says the city council approved hiring a Glidden native to serve as the next public works director after Bock’s departure.

Bock’s last day in the office will be April 23, and an open house will be held for the public to congratulate him on his retirement.

The retirement open house will be at Glidden City Hall. Peterson says Weber will take over duties for Bock after April 23, and they look forward to welcoming Weber back to the city crew.
