U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) announced that his office will host a 4th District Military Academy Day on Wednesday, April 23, in Fort Dodge for Iowa eighth- through 12th-grade students interested in attending one of the nation’s five military academies. The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Iowa Central Community College’s Triton Café Boardroom, located at One Triton Circle. Representatives from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and U.S. Coast Guard Academy will be on hand to provide information, answer questions, and offer guidance on the application process. Feenstra says, “This is a unique opportunity to meet with representatives from all five academies, get questions answered, and learn more about the application process. Our military is the strongest in the world because of the brave Americans who answer the call to serve.
