Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig is encouraging school-aged students to participate in the 2025 Choose Iowa Calendar Contest, an annual celebration of Iowa’s agriculture through student artwork. Choose Iowa is the state’s signature brand for Iowa-grown food, beverages, and agricultural products. Winning entries will be featured in the 2025-26 Choose Iowa coloring calendar and honored at a special awards ceremony on Aug. 12 at the Iowa State Fair. Artwork must depict Iowa agriculture and be submitted on white, 8.5-by-11-inch horizontal paper using only black lines. Colored submissions are not accepted. Entries are due by noon on June 1 and can be submitted online, by email, or by mail to the Iowa Department of Agriculture. Students up to age 18 are eligible.
