Members of 712 Women on a Mission (WOAM) recently donated $2,800 to the Smart Living Campaign at New Hope in Carroll, supporting a project that brings assistive and adaptive technologies to residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. New Hope CEO Jennifer Quigley presented the campaign’s vision to the philanthropic group during a recent WOAM gathering. The Smart Living initiative will equip three New Hope Community homes with technologies that provide residents immediate access to support staff on the New Hope campus, fostering greater independence and safety. 712 Women on a Mission is made up of 102 local women who meet quarterly, each contributing $100 to benefit a chosen nonprofit organization in Carroll County. Shannon Reising, a WOAM member, recently presented the donation to Cindy Neil, New Hopes’ development director. The group’s next meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. on May 7 at Santa Maria Winery.
