Glidden, Sac City And Jefferson Were Three Of Ten Cities Awarded The DOT’s 2025 Small City Work Zone Sign Package

Three cities in the listening area have been chosen for the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) 2025 Small City Work Zone Sign Package Program. Glidden, Jefferson, and Sac City were three of the ten selected out of 156 applications from cities with a population of less than 10,000 to obtain a basic work zone sign package. Glidden City Administrator Brooke Peterson says the city applied for the program back in December, detailing what Glidden needs for signage.

Peterson says that with city events getting bigger, the signage can be utilized for more than just construction.

Jefferson and Sac City went through the same application process as Glidden, and each received three various road work signs, type three barricades, traffic cones, class 2 safety vests, sign stands, and 42-inch channelizers.
