While back in Iowa last week during a state work period, Sen. Chuck Grassley made two stops in the listening area to meet with constituents. On Thursday, April 17, Grassley traveled to Greene County to meet with members of the Jefferson Matters: Main Street and Chamber organization to discuss the challenges facing rural Iowa businesses and the methods they’ve used to find success. The visit comes just two weeks after Jefferson Matters was nationally recognized with the 2025 Great American Main Street Award (GAMSA) for their efforts to promote and preserve their downtown district. Following his stop in Jefferson, Grassley traveled to Guthrie County to meet with students at the Adair-Casey Guthrie Center (ACGC) High School in Guthrie Center. Grassley is currently in the midst of his 44th annual tour of making at least one stop in each of Iowa’s 99 counties every year.
